The project provided much needed student housing for students at Chapman University with its 401 beds. It improved the aesthetics of the campus and community by replacing a parking lot and old sheds with a building that retains the Chapman aesthetic and reflects the historic charm of Old Town Orange. The exterior is a mixture of brick and exposed steel with corrugated metal paneling, as well as a sawtooth and flat shaped roof complementing the adjacent Villa Park Orchards Packing House built in 1918.
Site improvements include new utility feeds, an underground storm water detention basin, retaining and planter walls, and asphalt paving and landscaping of the 3.5 acre property.
