R.D. Olson provided all General Construction services for the interior/exterior renovation of an existing 10,000 SF industrial building for a temporary museum to hold the Hilbert Colle Mark and Janet Hilbert Collection of Newport Coast. More than 1,000 paintings were displayed at this temporary museum Chapman created in a renovated building owned by the university at 166 N. Cypress Street in Orange. The building also includes facade upgrades to match the existing campus standards, utilizing brick, exposed beams, and corrugated metal. In addition to the re-purposing of the exterior, there is street work and infrastructure improvements, as well as a complete rework of the parking lot for better accessibility.
