Las Vegas, Nev. - R.D. Olson Construction has completed the $7.2 million Southern Highlands Country Club in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Irvine-based construction company provided the general contracting for the 40,000-square-foot Southern Highlands Country Club, which includes a pro shop, business center, golf library, restaurant and three grills. Locker rooms with steam saunas and whirlpools, and a workout center also are featured in this full-service golf facility. An interior of marble flooring, arch doors and six large fireplaces, and exterior of stone columns, walls and balustrades give the clubhouse an old-world ambiance. The facility was designed by Douglas Fredrickson Design.
The Tuscan-style structure owned by The Olympic Group LLC will serve members of Southern Highlands Golf Club, a newly-developed private course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
"We built an exquisite high-end golf facility that is central to the new surrounding housing developments," said Dennis Reyling, president, R.D. Olson Construction.
Located at One Robert Trent Jones Lane, the country club and golf course are the focal point of a 2,300-acre master-planned community of entry- and high-end housing, now under construction. It will include such developments as The Villages of Southern Highlands and The Estates at Southern Highlands.
