Dana Point, Calif.--R.D. Olson Construction, an Irvine-based firm specializing in building hotels, retail outlets and restaurants, has been contracted to renovate the Monarch Beach Resort Clubhouse and Bay Club located on the beach in Dana Point, Calif.
The $2.5 million project includes a complete remodel of the 6,200-square-foot Bay Club and 8,900-square foot clubhouse. As a luxury amenity for golfers and their guests, the Monarch Beach Resort Clubhouse and Bay Club also will be home to special functions for the adjacent St. Regis Hotel. The Monarch Beach Resort Clubhouse, Bay Club and St. Regis Hotel are owned by Capital Pacific Holdings, Inc.
"This is a high-end project that sits on some of the most exquisite land in California," said Dennis Reyling, president, R. D. Olson Construction. "We are excited to be part of this renovation."
The Monarch Beach Resort Clubhouse and Bay Club renovations will include new state-of-the-art kitchen facilities and the addition of a lounge and dining facilities surrounded by newly installed high-end millwork. The Bay Club will feature plush interiors and a new sundeck with retractable awnings as part of the revamping of the golf facilities.
Homes and Narver Architects is responsible for the project’s architect. Hersch Bedner Design is the interior designer. Groundbreaking is scheduled for March 12 with an expected completion date set for summer 2001.
R.D. Olson construction is a national general contractor and construction management company. Founded in 1979 by Robert Olson, the company has since built such well known establishments as Northpark Plaza, Irvine; Hiddenbrooke Premiere Golf and Clubhouse, Vallejo; and Dave and Busters, Irvine and Orange.
