VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Irvine based R.D. Olson Construction completed its first international project for a popular American steakhouse chain, Morton’s of Chicago. The 8,000-square-foot restaurant is located at 757 W. Hastings, Vancouver, British Columbia.
R.D. Olson Construction, specialists in building restaurants, hotels and country clubs, provided pre-construction services and general contracting for the $1.1 million Morton’s of Chicago. The restaurant is owned by Morton’s Restaurant Group, Inc. and resembles its other US dining establishments characterized by wood paneling, glass and brass walling, custom lighting and a richly-furnished décor. Shea Architects, a Minneapolis, Minn.-based firm, was responsible for the design of the chain’s newest addition. R.D. Olson Construction completed the restaurant in time for an October 1 opening.
"We are excited to have expanded internationally and create a name outside the United States," said Dennis Reyling, president, R.D. Olson Construction. "Morton’s is a good start because it represents some of America’s finest."
This year, R.D. Olson Construction built another restaurant for the popular chain: Morton’s of Chicago in Seattle, Wash.
