R.D. Olson Construction Completes Upscale Dana Point Resort Facilities

DANA POINT, CALIF.--R.D. Olson Construction, specialists in building hotels, office complexes and retail outlets, has completed renovation of the Monarch Beach Resort Golf Clubhouse and Monarch Beach Resort Bay Club in Dana Point.

The Bay Club is a 6,200-square-foot structure offering a panoramic view of Monarch Bay. With customized millwork, recessed copper ceilings and a large granite circular bar, it is sure to please the most discriminate of tastes. The Bay Club’s 2,500-square-foot kitchen was also renovated. The Bay club is located at 500 Monarch Bay Drive.

Monarch Beach Golf Clubhouse was also designed to enhance the exquisite décor of the St. Regis Hotel. Located at 33033 Niguel Rd., the 6,410-square-foot structure houses a pro shop, full-service bar and outside dining area overlooking the Monarch Beach Links Golf Course. Unlike the Bay Club, which was designed to serve homeowner and hotel guests, the Monarch Beach Golf Clubhouse is open to the public.

“We have some of the most talented construction workers in the industry who enjoy flexing their skills when building such high-end structures as these,” said Dennis Reyling, president, R.D. Olson Construction.

Both structures were designed by Holmes & Narver Architects to replicate the theme of the St. Regis Hotel, which sits nearby on the same property. Makar Properties, LLC own the facilities.

Project costs for the Monarch Beach Resort Golf Clubhouse and Monarch Beach Resort Bay Club totaled $2.35 million.
