R. D. Olson Construction Awarded Contract to Build Prominent Business Complex

  LAGUNA WOODS, Calif. --Irvine-based R. D. Olson Construction, specializing in hotel, retail and office structures, has been awarded the contract to build a $11.5 million business complex in Laguna Woods.

R. D. Olson Construction will provide general construction and site improvements for the 161,500 square-foot Town Centre, Laguna Woods. The complex is located at 24325 E1 Toro Rd. It will be home to four office buildings, each bearing a Santa Barbara Mission theme. They include two single-story and two three-story structures. Each building will have its own individual design. Throughout the facility, courtyards, balconies, grand lobbies and planters with intricate water features will provide a tastefully elegant appeal.

"Town Centre, Laguna Woods will complement the beauty of the area while providing a functioning business center," said Dennis Reyling, president, R. D. Olson Construction. R. D. Olson Construction also will provide three pad sites, which entails excavation and soil compacting in preparation of a medical office complex, restaurant and the Countryside Hotel. Town Centre, Laguna Woods is owned by Polygon Development and was designed by Lee & Sakahara Architect AIA. Work will begin in late October and is scheduled for completion in October 2000.
