R.D. Olson Construction Builds New Restaurant for Popular Chain

San Diego, Calif. - Irvine-based R.D. Olson Construction, specialists in building hotels, restaurants and office complexes, has begun construction of the Dave & Buster's, San Diego. R.D. Olson Construction will provide pre-construction and general contracting for the 44,000-square-foot single-story structure.

The newest addition to the popular restaurant chain is located at 3025 Camino del Rio North, at the I805 and 8 interchange in Mission Valley. It is within two miles of Qualcom Stadium.

"It's exciting to be the primary builders of many Dave & Buster's restaurants," said Dennis Reyling, president, R.D. Olson Construction. "They are an expanding business that has gained the attention of the people who like to socialize and have a good time."

Designed by Texas-based Melvin R. Fain Architects, Inc., the restaurant will house an assortment of games and entertainment from pool and shuffle board to basketball hoops to virtual reality turbo rides. In keeping with the San Diego architectural theme, the building will boast an intricate exterior brick system and stamped concrete walkways. Completion of the project is scheduled for November 2000.
