IRVINE, Calif. – R.D.
Olson Construction, a leading California construction firm
specializing in hotels, retail outlets and resorts nationwide, has
named Erika Urbani as chief financial officer/vice president of
finance.
Urbani, a 15-year
veteran of the Irvine-based construction company, was promoted to
her new position after serving as its controller since 1997. Her
work in the firm’s accounting department began in 1993.
“Erika has the
knowledge, leadership qualities and experience that this high-level
position demands,” said Robert Olson, CEO/president, R.D. Olson
Construction. “Her strength in overseeing the company’s finances has
been well established and I am confident of Erika’s success in her
new position.”
In her newly acquired
role, Urbani will oversee all aspects of the company’s finances
including accounting and reporting, budgeting, risk management,
strategic business planning, and information systems management. As
with her prior position, she will continue to promote best practices
to enhance the company’s effectiveness and profitability.
Urbani’s work in the
financial industry is extensive and her qualifications impressive.
She holds designations as a Certified Construction Industry
Financial Professional and Certified Managerial Accountant. She has
been a board member of the Construction Financial Management
Association for four years and is the 2006-2007 president of the
Orange County chapter.
Urbani holds a
bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University
of Belgrano, Argentina and a bachelor of arts in accounting from
California State University, Fullerton. She resides in Anaheim
Hills.
Robert Olson founded
R.D. Olson Construction in 1979. It has since grown into one of the
largest general contracting companies in California. The company has
built establishments for such clients as Marriott, Hilton and
Benihana to name a few. Current projects under construction in
California include Renaissance ClubSport, Aliso Viejo; Burbank
Residence Inn, Burbank; and Marriott’s Shadow Ridge, Palm Desert.
Out of state Olson is working on completing the Benihana, Coral
Gables, FL and two Morton’s the Steakhouses in Phoenix and
Scottsdale, Arizona. |
