R.D. Olson Construction Completes $26 Million Two-Hotel Resort

ANAHEIM, CALIF.–R.D. Olson Construction, an Irvine-based firm, has completed one of the first new major hotel developments within the Anaheim Resort Zone.

The two-hotel resort includes a seven-story Staybridge Suites and nine-story Holiday Inn sharing six acres of land on Manchester Avenue, between Katella and Orangewood. The hotels are owned by Bass Hotels & Resorts of Great Britain.

R.D. Olson Construction, a general contracting and construction management company specializing in hotels, retail outlets and office facilities, provided complete pre-construction and general contracting for the $26 million project.

We are proud to have led the way in developing the Anaheim Resort Zone,” said Dennis Reyling, president, R.D. Olson Construction.

The 116,000-square-foot Staybridge Suites houses 143 rooms, which will to serve as an extended-stay facility for guests visiting the area for long durations who want to enjoy many of the same comforts as home.

The 147,000-square-foot Holiday Inn is a full-service lodging facility, which includes a 264 suites and an Alamo Steakhouse Grill Restaurant. A large pool and spa, pool bar and sports court are available to guests of both hotels. Winding concrete walkways, lush landscape with towering palm trees and lantern-style lighting complete the resort.

Because the hotels are located within approximately one mile of Disneyland, they will serve as a depot for Disneyland’s theme park guests and conference center.

The company has since built such well-known establishments as the Marriott Residence Inn, Irvine; Springhill Suites, Hawthorne; and Dave & Buster’s, Hawaii.
