R.D. Olson Construction to Build Los Angeles Area Hotel

 

HAWTHORNE, Calif.--Irvine based R.D. Olson Construction has been awarded a $7.1 million contract to build Townplace Suites, Hawthorne--an extended-stay hotel. It is owned and operated by the Marriott Corporation.

R.D. Olson Construction will provide general contracting for the 80,000-square-foot, 144-room hotel located at 14000 Aviation Blvd. Designed by Seattle-based Johnson Braund Design, the four-story building’s exterior will consist of two stories of stone veneer and two stories of stucco with wood trim.

Upon opening, Townplace Suites will cater to guests visiting the area for five days or more. The expected completion date is set for May 2001.
