| |
IRVINE, Calif. – R.D.
Olson Construction has recently been awarded the contract to build a
new Hampton Inn & Suites, which is to be constructed at 50 W. Daily
Drive in Camarillo.
The Santa Barbara-style hotel, which will feature a mission style
plaster exterior and a clay tile roof, is being built near the Las
Posas off-ramp from Highway 101.
The Irvine-based construction company, a specialist in hospitality,
multi-unit housing and retail complexes, is working with the
architectural firm P.K. Architecture of Phoenix, Ariz., on the $6.5
million project.
R.D. Olson is serving as the general contractor for the three-story,
115-room hotel. The 68,000-square-foot hotel is being constructed for
Ocean Park Hotels of Valencia, and will feature a pool, spa, fitness
room, breakfast bar and three meeting rooms. Construction is scheduled
to take eight months to complete.
R.D. Olson Construction was founded in 1979 by Robert Olson. The
company has since built such well-known establishments as the
Renaissance Esmeralda, Indian Wells; Holiday Inn Express, Santa
Clarita; and Glen Ivy Day Spa, Brea—all in California.
Current projects in California include Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort,
Dana Point; Casa de Amma Assisted Living, San Juan Capistrano; and
Marriott’s Shadow Ridge, Palm Desert. R.D. Olson Construction is the
twelfth- largest company of its kind in Orange County with its
corporate office in Irvine, Calif.
