IRVINE, Calif.—R.D.
Olson Construction, specialists in hotel, resort, restaurant and
multi-family housing, has promoted Tim Cromwell to vice president,
business development. Cromwell, whose background in development
spans 20 years, will be responsible for fostering new prospects for
ground-up construction and large-scale renovation projects. Much of
Cromwell’s work will involve extensive market research to determine
building trends. Based on his findings, he will determine what types
of projects, whether in retail, housing or hospitality, are expected
to experience an upsurge in growth. His goal is to give R.D. Olson
Construction direction by determining where the market is going and
ensuring the company continues building a well-balanced mix of
project types.
“Tim Cromwell has an exceptional talent for identifying potential
market segments and landing accounts with prestigious developers and
clients,” said Robert Olson, president, R.D. Olson Construction.
“His many years’ experience in the industry and diligence in finding
out what developers are looking for so we can deliver it to them is
key to his success.”
Cromwell’s prior position with R.D. Olson Construction was director
of business development. He has been with the company for 12 years.
Before joining R.D. Olson Construction, Cromwell had partnered with
a large retail developer in building shopping centers throughout
California.
Robert Olson founded R.D. Olson Construction in 1979. It has since
grown into one of the largest general contracting companies in
Orange County. It specializes in building hotels, restaurants and
country clubs.
The company has built establishments for such clients as Marriott,
Hilton, Morton’s Restaurant Group and Benihana. Current projects
include Union Station Village at Los Angeles Union Station;
University Village Towers, Riverside; and a $50 million addition and
renovation of the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa Resort, Ojai. |
