LAS VEGAS, Nevada -
R.D. Olson Construction has been contracted to expand the McCormick
& Schmick's in Las Vegas, adding a 500-square-foot dining area to
the popular upscale restaurant. The restaurant will remain in
operation during construction, which is scheduled to begin in April.
After the Irvine, Calif.-based construction company finishes the
majority of the work on the project, it will tear down an existing
wall of the restaurant to reveal the addition.
"It will be an intricate operation, but we are experts at doing work
that meets the needs of our clients,'' said Robert Olson, CEO and
company president.
The dining room addition at the 335 Hughes Center Drive restaurant
will blend with the existing décor of the establishment. It will
feature rich wood paneling and large windows skirting the perimeter,
giving it a light and airy feel.
"We believe the finished product will enhance an already superb
restaurant,'' said Olson.
Construction of the $400,000 addition to the fine seafood
establishment located approximately one mile from Las Vegas' famous
strip of casinos and other nightlife should take about three months.
Aria Group Architects, Inc., based in Oak Park, Ill., provided the
design work for the project.
Robert Olson founded R.D. Olson Construction in 1979. It has since
grown into one of the largest general contracting companies in
Orange County. It specializes in building hotels, restaurants and
country clubs.
The company has built establishments for such clients as Morton’s
Restaurant Group, Benihana, Houston’s Restaurant, Ra Sushi, and
Lawry’s. Current projects include Union Station Village at Los
Angeles Union Station; University Village Towers, Riverside; and a
$50 million addition and renovation of the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa
Resort, Ojai. |
