PALM DESERT, Calif. – R.D.
Olson Construction, an Irvine-based builder that specializes in
hotels and country clubs, has begun work on Phase VI of the vacation
ownership villas at Marriott’s Shadow Ridge, a Marriott Vacation
Club Resort. The resort is located at 9001 Shadow Ridge Road in Palm
Desert.
Phase VI plans call
for 67,000 square feet of new construction at a project cost of $11
million. In this phase, Olson will build 46 suites housed within two
three-story structures. Each of the two-bedroom two-bath suites will
feature a master bedroom, spacious living area, kitchen and
entertainment space. The suites’ design will be in keeping with the
contemporary Mediterranean flavor used throughout the resort, with
plentiful use of subtle earth tones. The design also enhances the
impressive views of the property and the surrounding mountains, as
seen from each suite. The architect for Shadow Ridge is
Houston/Tyner of Marina Del Ray.
Completion of Phase VI is scheduled for January 2007.
