Lofton Moore has worked in the
construction industry for more than 30 years. As president of R.D. Olson
Construction, he draws from his extensive expertise to oversee all aspects of
the $140 million Irvine-based firm that has risen to national recognition for
its work in hospitality, restaurant and spa construction. He oversees its
operations, contract negotiations and marketing, working to ensure the company
continues the upward growth pattern it has enjoyed for so many years. Moore also
nurtures the company’s well-respected relationships with such industry giants as
Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sunstone Hotels Investors, Inc.,
Hilton Hotels, Benihana, Inc., and Morton’s the Steakhouse.
With his vast knowledge of the industry, Moore is forever in search of new ways
to increase the company’s market share. He has the foresight and experience to
recognize new markets and opportunities. To secure long-range marketability of
R.D. Olson Construction, he works with the corporate team in providing the firm
with strategic vision and direction.
The construction veteran, known within the industry for his powerful leadership,
is credited with managing construction of many of California’s most prominent
facilities. He oversaw the $450 million patient tower at Children's Hospital Los
Angeles; the 340,000-square foot replacement hospital for the City of Hope; a
recent expansion of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital; and several California State
University facilities. As a one-of-a-kind project, he oversaw construction of
the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center—a 1300-seat concert hall
that is known for its unique design and outstanding acoustics.
Moore is a resident of Yorba Linda and a graduate of Auburn University in
Alabama.
