Leadership
Tim Cromwell
Vice President, Director of Business Development
As R.D. Olson Construction’s Director of Business Development, Tim Cromwell has acquired most of the company’s largest accounts. Specializing in the hospitality, retail and entertainment industries, Tim has grown R.D. Olson’s client list to include such companies as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Sony Pictures, Morton’s Restaurant Group, The Irvine Company, and Neiman Marcus to name a few.
Joining R.D. Olson Construction in 1993, Tim brought with him 15 years of experience in commercial real estate. In his role as Director of Business Development he cultivates new clients for construction and offers assistance in site acquisition, land planning, governmental approvals, marketing and financing.
Tim’s career in real estate started in San Diego selling commercial property and leasing retail and office space. He then worked for several developers specializing in shopping center developments and urban redevelopment projects.
Prior to R.D. Olson, the well-seasoned businessman was a development partner at Hopkins Development Company for seven years. There he developed several neighborhood and community shopping centers, including the 72-acre La Mirada Town Center, that area’s most prominent mixed-use project. There he negotiated an owner participation agreement with the city and negotiated with more than 100 tenants in lease-buyouts, renewals and pad sales.
Tim also serves on the board of directors for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), which provides grants for research to improve treatments, increase survival rates and, ultimately, find a cure against cancer.
Tim holds a business administration degree from the University of San Diego.
